Working with Partners
As well as spearheading our own Champions for Childhood Epilepsy Campaign to improve education and health services for children and young people with epilepsy, the NCYPE works with other charities and organisations to press for change.
The Joint Epilepsy Council
We belong to the Joint Epilepsy Council an umbrella organisation for 26 epilepsy charities, pressing the government, parliamentarians and key policymakers for better epilepsy services.
As part of National Epilepsy Week 2010, the Joint Epilepsy Council worked with MediaPlanet to create a supplement for the Guardian newspaper which was published on Friday 18 June 2010. Please see below for a copy of the supplement, which includes information about the NCYPE.

The Health in School Alliance
The NCYPE is also part of this alliance of over 30 charities campaigning for pupils with long term health conditions to be better accommodated at school.
To view a statement on this work and see which other organisations are part of the alliance please see the Alliance Policy Briefing document:

The alliance supported the Private Members’ Bill put forward by Jim Cunningham MP in May 2009.
Tripartite Group
In addition, we work with Diabetes UK and Asthma UK, on issues of shared interest. Last year the three charities campaigned at the three main political party conferences by holding fringe meetings on the way schools deal with children and teenagers with long term health conditions.
