Outreach Support

Assessment and rehabilitation are most effective when combined with outreach support for the young person, the family, teachers and medical professionals in their local community.

The Outreach Practitioner, an Epilepsy Specialist Nurse at NCYPE, contacts families and local professionals prior to the assessment to gather information and provides follow up liaison after the assessment has been completed.

Funding is normally calculated on an individual basis through the local agencies.
